The Artist

We woke up on a Wednesday night at about 3am to a seal in Hunter's room. Yes, croup came back to Hunter. If you've never heard a croupy cough, it sounds exactly like a seal. With a little tylenol and heavy doses of "Hot Dog", which is really Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and Little Einsteins, we're finally over the croup...BUT...that left us with yet another ear infection. So, next Wednesday Hunter will be getting another set of ear tubes and his adenoids out. Hopefully that will help with all these ear infections!! Here's some pictures of our little artist.

This is what happens when you paint while you have an ear infection...

He must have gotten bored painting on paper because he pushed the paper away and began painting his face. He kept telling me, "it pretty mama, pretty mama"

Beach, Music, & ????

A few weeks ago Hunter went on what he was calling his "date" with Gracie. Gracie is our neighbor and I think Hunter's in love. He even said "Gracie is my girlfriend." They both had a blast at the beach! Hunter got (too) brave and loved running into the waves.

His first ipod listening experience. (He's listening to Joe Scruggs!) He kept saying sisen mama (that's listen in Hunter talk) and saying cool, cool. Of course who wouldn't think Joe Scruggs is cool?

I all the sudden realized it was a little too quiet in the house. I look for Hunter and here's what I find in our bathroom. Even complete with a hair dryer noise and an "I blow hair mama" and "Cool hair" He even some how managed to find and put those socks on too.

Backyard Fun & Moon Sand

So, it's been a (long) while since an update. We've been busy doing I don't even know what...funny how that works, huh?
Hunter's been talking up a storm, has more energy that any kid I know, has hit the "TERRIBLE TWOs"!!! AHHHHH!!! He's got the tantrum thing down pretty good (which is still kinda funny sometimes), we've really started using "the naughty spot", and as of 2 nights ago someone figured out he can get out of bed and open and close his bedroom door...last night he even ventured out into the living room. I of course started laughing, which then got me in trouble by daddy. Whatever he told Hunter in his room worked, he didn't do it again...can't wait to see what tonight brings...

Some recent pictures of our little man...

This moon sand could keep him busy for hours!!!! It's totally messy, but he loves it. He even "helps" me clean up after he's done.

Backyard fun! He's about to do a belly-flop into his pool

Here he's putting a statue thing in the corner, I'm guessing by the way he's talking to it, he's telling it why it's in the corner. When I asked what he was doing, here's what I got:

Hunter:Corner mama

Mommy: Why are you putting it in the corner?

Hunter: (shaking his finger at it) Bad

4th of July Celebration

We enjoyed good times with our friends and neighbors on the 4th. Lee made some EXCELLENT onion rings and even better wings (smoked then deep fried! YUMMY!)

What Hunter had to eat on July 4th:
Breakfast-Candy from parade
Lunch-don't think he ate lunch
Dinner-Cheetos, chips, popsicle

Nice.

Oh...I guess he had some water to drink too

Happy 4th!

4th of July Parade

Hunter and I headed out to The Woodlands 4th of July parade with our neighbor Karla on Friday. Hunter had a blast watching and waving at all the fire trucks, and of course, eating all the candy everyone was throwing out! Nice breakfast, huh? :)

We found the perfect place to sit, next to a running buddy of mine I haven't seen in forever. Here's Hunter waiting for the parade to start, eating (stealing) ice out of The West Family ice chest.

These guys threw out money...Hunter made $1.50!!!

These guys blew out nice cold air on everyone!

Kerrville!

We had a fantastic trip up to the river to see PaPa, Mena, Uncle Chris, and Aunt Jenny! The weather was perfect for us...it was so nice to be out of this Houston humidity!!!! The dogs had a blast chasing deer and eachother. Lilly loves to swim and Daisy likes to bark (very loud) at Lilly while she's swimming. (very annoying!) Hunter, I think, had the most fun of all! He was able to get in the river for the first time and loved playing with his Mena and PaPa, and of course Aunt Jenny and Uncle Chris (once he warmed up to him with all that (scary) facial hair :) ) Thanks Uncle Chris and Aunt Jenny for bringing your boat...we all had a blast in it!!!

Enjoy the pictures!

Hunter enjoying the best invention EVER! Thanks so much Irie and Parks for letting us borrow your DVD player!

Apparently when you're a little boy at the river you must take all your clothes off and run around hitting people with noodles

Hunter's 1st time in the river! He totally LOVED it! YEA!!!! Aunt Jenny even taught him how to "kick, kick, kick"

Just a classic hangin' out on the dock picture, of course eating. What else do you do at the river? Even at Thanksgiving, right, Chris? :)

How's this for all boy?? Did you know that it's way fun after you get wet to go pick up handfuls of dirt and throw them up in the air, then rub your hands all over your face? This is my new favorite picture :)
