Splash!

Last Wednesday Hunter and I went to a new fountain area with a splash pad with our friends Sarah and Evan. Once Sarah and I figured out how to get down to it (which included 2, yes 2 elevator rides (of course I took the stairs while Hunter rode with Sarah and Evan!)Hunter and Evan had a blast playing in the splash pad! We had the whole place pretty much to ourselves. We can't wait to go back at night when they have a light/music/laser show. Hunter and I already miss playing with you guys!

Big changes for a big boy!

Our little man is growing up so fast! Lee and I are having a blast watching him grow up. He never ceases to amaze us. We moved him to a 'big boy' bed a couple of weeks ago. He is so proud of his new bed, too. He's only gotten out once...I went in during nap time, and diapers were EVERYWHERE! Also, he'll be going to preschool starting next week! I decided it was time for a change and have accepted a job teaching preschool (ages 2-5) Science and PE. I am super excited about this opportunity! I know Hunter is going to love the school (he still talks about it, even though he's only been there a few times!)

No, this is not my new truck...it's Lee's! Lee got himself a very nice present for himself on my birthday this year, do ya like? He's so not going to be able to live that one down! We were in need of a new truck for him, his old truck was about on its last leg.

Before it got too hot, I was able to take Hunter running with me in the afternoons. He really likes to go, too. Plus, (for motivation to myself) if I run what I say I'm going to, Hunter gets to go to the park. So, how can I not finish my run...he would be so sad not going the park!

Lee and his dad went fishing down towards Galveston and Lee "brought home the bacon" as he says. Lee cooked the fish that night, and it was actually REALLY good!

We've also been getting lectured by Hunter lately. He knows he's not allowed in our closet, so when he does get in there, he opens the door and lectures us...

Goin' to the Zoo

This past weekend PaPa and Aunt Beth came to visit for the weekend. We had so much fun! We made a trip down to the Houston Zoo and all had a blast!

Blue what?

Bluebonnets that's what! Awww man...I said 'THE WORD" "The word" would be "Bluebonnets" A couple of weeks ago while running I saw the first one I'd seen this year and literally out loud said, "Yea, bluebonnets!!" Then thought to myself Uh-Oh, I just said "the word" so, then, only for my mom, I had to sing the song (out loud, of course) I know she was up there listening and laughing right along with me!

For those who don't know, my mom learned this song in 2nd grade choir. It wouldn't matter where we were...in the middle of the mall or in the car, she would sing (sometimes yell) the words to this song. It became her mission every year when the bluebonnets were out to get someone to say the word. So, now, of course, I cannot wait carry on the tradition and embarrass Hunter with this same song!

Busy Weekend!

We had such a busy weekend this past weekend. Friday night Lee and I went to the Rodeo and had fun even though I never got my funnel cake! :( Hunter spent the night at NaNa and Papa Bear's house and I'm sure had tons of fun. Saturday it was Hunter's best friend's birthday, so we enjoyed a party at the park for Irie who turned 3. Sunday the Easter bunny came and Hunter had a blast with the eggs. We had breakfast with some friends who we hadn't seen in forever and then dinner with Lee's family. By Sunday night, we were all worn out!

The Easter bunny brought Hunter some pretty cool sunglasses and some way cool camo eggs...

What does that stand for, you ask? Well, that would be Lee's new title at the bank. On Thrusday Lee got a surprise promotion and is now an Assistant Vice President at Woodforest Nat'l Bank!!! How awesome is that??!! Hunter and I are so proud of you and love you very much, Daddy!
