Finally!

After a month since our last post, I'm finally playing catch up! Here's what we've been up to...

Hello Ike!

Bye-Bye tree!

We ended up losing 2 trees in the front yard (one of which I actually got to use a chain saw to cut down!!! What a thrill that was-and I did it without hurting myself or anyone else too!) We lost one tree in the back and a couple of minor leaks in the roof.
After about 5 days with no power, Hunter and I headed off to Aunt Kristin and Uncle Clayton's house. They opened their house to us with open arms. A HUGE HUG and THANK YOU to them for this! Hunter got to eat his first snow cone (I really wish we would have had a camera for this, his face when he saw this thing was totally priceless-so excited and jumping up and down!) We rode the train at Zilker Park which he totally loved! We visited the Children's Museum, and ate some YUMMY Mexican food, and he managed to get obsessed with "The Genie Movie" aka Aladdin. We have now watched it too many times to even count!
Enjoying some Matt's tortillas....YUMMY!
Hunter learned that you can throw money into a fountain and make a wish. He started kissing the money before he threw it in...how cute!
Ready for the train ride...in his words..."so fun!, mama"
Look what someone figured out they could do every time you go down the slide....can you say AHHHH!!!!!!
At the ACL (Austin City Limits) Festival stage in the Childrens Museum...Future ACL performer
or
Bus driver???

Playin' in the sprinkler

Watering the plants
And the last one.....

Just a really cute picture of Hunter...see his forehead glowing? That means we've got POWER back!!!! YEA!!!!! 14 days without power!!! We got it back last Friday, the 26th! A perfect start to a weekend I really needed something to smile about...
