Friday was Go Texan Day at school. Hunter got a shiny new pair of cowboy boots, which he won't take off, and a cool cowboy shirt, as he calls it, that my neighbor Christie made. (Isn't it so cute!)
These are his new boots I got at "Payless"...I'm very upset with "Payless" because it is no longer "Payless" to me anymore! These things were like $24!! Seriously!?!? Good thing I got them 2 sizes too big!
Right before we left for school all decked out in our Go Texan gear. I took the kindergarten class on a "trail ride" complete with trail mix we made in their homemade "saddle bags" to eat on the way to our campsite which had a fire (fake) and some dinner cookin' (pork n beans) which they all ate up! Overall it was a fun day and Hunter loved being a cowboy for a day. He even woke up this morning asking to put in his boots.
But, why paint the paper when you can paint yourself?
And why stop at your belly? Why not paint your face?
And of course your neck should be painted too, right?
And then, TaaDaa! A happy little masterpiece! He's so proud of his work!
Which tells you what we did this morning before we painted...
He put in our new sink! Now, the water actually turns all the way off when you push the handle down. AND...yes, there's more good news...the hot and cold water are on the sides they're meant to be on! WOO HOO!!!!!! Now, when I go to this lovely new beauty of a sink, I forget what side the hot and cold are on. A good problem to have, and I'll get the hang of it sooner or later!
