SURPRISE!

On Sunday Lee turned the big 3-0! I couldn't just stand by and watch it happen so, since he's very anti-birthday party, I decided to throw him a surprise party. It was SO hard to keep this a secret all month long. I couldn't have done it without the help of all our family and friends! He was totally surprised when he got home on Saturday from fishing, YEAH!!!! With him there it was time for the fun...

The story of the Sumo suits...Ever since I was pregnant with Hunter he's been saying he wants to get these so we can fight, so I thought what better time than now?! The company thew me a loop though and asked if they could be delivered on Friday instead of Saturday....ummm...NO they can't! Well, they ended up being delivered to my in-laws and LEE WAS OVER THERE WHEN THEY GOT DELIVERED!!!! He asked his mom if she ordered them, she said yes, and then Lee left...no questions asked! WHEW!!! That was a close one....anyway, back to the fighting, I'm sure Lee thought he's win, but I had other plans and guess who won....

Yes, that is me. I won! I won! I won!

Maggie begging not to get thrown down (I don't think it worked) Maggie had the perfect game plan...wait until he's right in front of you and then move out of the way...

so this happens!

I think this is when she won too!

Rachel won too. You can check out their pictures and a video on their blog. (The Mansell Family)

Next up Brent and Elizabeth...it's not what it looks like...of course she won too!

Lee keeps saying he's got 2 years to plan something for me...should I be worried???

Did he really just say that?

Let me set the scene:
Lee is helping Hunter put change in a piggy bank...

Daddy: What are you going to buy with all your money?

Hunter: I'm going to buy you some beer daddy!

Ummm...yeah, he really just said that...

The Witte Family meets Cascarones

We had a great Easter weekend this year. We were able to spend lots of time with Lee's side of the family. His Aunt Sally and cousin Michael came in from California for a visit. Hunter and I made cascarones (confetti eggs) this year. We did this when I was growing up and it's always so much fun I couldn't wait to introduce the tradition to everyone. We had an egg hunt here at the house before the storm came and Hunter loved finding the eggs! We went over to Nana and Bear's for an excellent dinner complete with a birthday cake for all the April birthdays in the family.
Step 1 of the confetti egg process-dye the eggs. He really enjoyed it this year and I figured out that a paintbrush made it so much easier for him.

Finding the golden egg. It was full of change which he told us was for buying things at Kroger.

Aunt Sally, cousins Michael and Celeste

Even Grandpa Bear let Hunter get him

Surprise! Big sister got you!!

A night of wii guitar hero. Here they are doing "American Woman" Hunter and Nana are actually singing too! I wish I could get my videos to upload, but for some reason blogger isn't letting me!

**Birthday Edit**

My dear, loving husband came home today and checked the blog. Much to his dismay there was no picture of his awesome, amazing, perfectly decorated birthday cake. So, here's to you, honey!! I loved my special birthday cake!!!

**He's rather expensive, but I'm sure, since we're all friends and family, he will give you a discount if you'd like him to personally decorate a cake for any of your special occasions**

Birthdays and Batman

I was totally spoiled on my birthday this year by my boys, friends, and family. I got a homemade cake-decorated by my loving husband, plenty of Starbucks gift cards to last me a while, and a gift certificate for some new running shorts (yea-no more ripped shorts!)

From my mother-in-law I got a sewing machine I've been wanting for a while. (Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!) So, on Saturday after Lee and I figured out how to thread the thing I embarked on my first sewing project...A batman cape for Hunter. It's not the prettiest (up close) but it allows him to fly so it's a success!

Montgomery County Fair

We went down to the Montgomery County Fair on Saturday and had a blast! We met up with some friends of ours and their little Noah. Hunter got to ride his first roller coaster and a ride all by himself. He also played his first carnival game and won himself a stuffed snake and Nemo.

Picture Time

Taking Bluebonnet pictures this year was not easy!

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend with such dear friends a few weekends ago. The boys went fishing and Hunter and the girls took off for The Waterway for a picnic and some splash time. We can't wait to see them again soon!

Hunter and I were outside playing one day and he was so interested in his shadow. He would not stop looking at it and pointing it out to me.

Hunter's new favorite snack is popcorn. He has to scoop the kernels out himself and turn it on and he loves to watch it pop.
